Circuit board repair at component level
A faulty circuit board does not automatically mean a new module. Device Repair examines selected PCBs, control modules and electronic assemblies and repairs individual components, connections or damaged traces wherever it is responsible to do so.
Typical faults
- Module no longer switches on
- Missing or unstable power supply
- Short circuit or high current draw
- Burnt components
- Poor or cracked solder joints
- Damaged traces
- Faulty cables and connectors
- Moisture, water or corrosion damage
- Intermittent faults
- Communication and control problems
What we do
- Visual inspection and electronic measurements
- Replacement of selected SMD and through-hole components
- Repair of traces and solder joints
- Repair of cables and connectors
- Professional PCB cleaning after moisture or corrosion
- Testing of the repaired functions as far as possible
E-bike boards all year round
We repair circuit boards from e-bikes, such as controllers, displays, BMS boards and chargers, all year round. Boards from other devices are only accepted in the winter season, from October to March.
Information we need
Please state the manufacturer, device and board numbers, the fault description, error codes and previous repairs, and add clear photos of both sides, labels, connectors and damage. Do not clean or solder any further before registering: important traces of the fault may disappear or new damage may occur.
Limitations
Fully potted, badly burnt, mechanically destroyed or unsafe electronics cannot always be repaired. Protected software, encrypted components, unavailable parts and limited test options can also prevent a repair.
Frequently asked questions
Can a water-damaged circuit board be repaired?
Often, if action is taken quickly. We clean the board professionally, check for corrosion and repair affected connections and components.
Which boards do you repair?
Selected boards and modules, with a focus on e-bike electronics, chargers, power supplies and controllers. Every request is assessed in advance.
Should I try something myself first?
Please don't. Further soldering or cleaning can erase traces of the fault and cause new damage. Register the fault as it is.
Have your electronics assessed
Register the fault first with brand, model, error codes and photos. You will receive confirmation and instructions before you send or bring anything.
